On April 28th in the Family Masses, as Jesus tells us that he is the vine and we are the branches, we hear the story of Berta Cáceres, a water defender and human rights activist in Honduras. Her true story, about leading a people to resist the construction of a dam that would destroy their sacred river and devastate their community, reminds us that we are all connected to our earth and to each other. For the Parent’s Hour, our Welcome the Stranger ministry will lead a discussion about the issues raised in Berta's story.
